The Marsden Archive
Simon Marsden is a photographer specializing in atmospheric and surreal images. These are the likes of decaying mansions, ghost towns, moonlit abbeys, graveyards, sinister villages, gothic structures and ancient castles. Though it is not his intention to convince people to believe in ghosts or the supernatural, his interest in such subjects and places started when he was young. He spent his childhood in two supposedly haunted houses. His passion for photography commenced when he was given a Leica by his father on his twenty-first birthday. The Marsden Archive features 22 image categories including bizarre interiors, classical castles, eerie lakes, grotesque gargoyles, romantic ruins and even Dracula’s Transylvania, to name some. Likewise, images can be searched among 15 locations such as England, France, Germany, Romania, USA and others. Archive prints are sold on the website.
